Brum’s History
Brum’s Dairy has proudly served the Pembroke community and Ottawa Valley for over 100 years. Founded by Henry Brum on Remembrance Day (November 11) 1918, the dairy was established with a commitment to providing fresh, high-quality Canadian dairy products. Built on a foundation of integrity, customer service, and loyalty, Brum’s Dairy has become one of the oldest businesses in Pembroke, Ontario—a milestone made possible by the unwavering support of our valued customers.
We take great pride in offering top-quality milks, creams, ice creams, and juices, staying true to the recipes and formulas our community has loved since day one. Our dairy bar is a beloved destination, featuring 35 flavors of ice cream, soft-serve treats, and delicious ice cream cakes. The National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) was established to ensure a code of practice is followed as animal welfare is essential to developing the best tasting products that Canadians know and love.
We would like to thank all the Canadian dairy farmers that contribute to one of the largest agricultural sectors in Canada. The Canadian dairy sector contributes over $18 billion dollars yearly to Canada’s GDP, which provides over 200,000 full-time jobs to Canadians.
